Halo Infinite teases Fracture: Tenrai, the first of many free events that will give players new armor customization options and other cosmetics.
Halo Infinite brings many changes to player customization from previous games, such as Armor Cores and the setting of card combinations that call for icons. In addition to the Battle Pass, players can earn new cosmetic items through Halo InfiniteThe event of, the first event is Fracture: Tenrai.
Fracture: Tenrai is not a new development, it was revealed earlier this week with Halo InfiniteUnexpected multiplayer launch. Like many other multiplayer games, Halo Infinite is planning its multiplayer to last for years to come, which in turn will be split into multiple seasons and a Battle Pass. The first season is the Heroes of Reach Battle Pass, where players can earn cosmetics to transform their Spartans into iconic members of Team Nobles from Halo Reach. After receiving many critical responses Halo InfiniteAs the Battle Pass evolved, 343 Industries began making changes to make it easier and more rewarding for players.
In a new tweet, 343 Industries shows Fracture: Tenrai cho Halo Infinite, the game’s first multiplayer event. Fracture: Tenrai is a free 30-level event that runs adjacent to the Heroes of Reach Battle Pass, starting on Monday, November 22. The main draw of the event is the complexity. Yoroi armor set inspired by samurai, with many helmets, shoulders and chest to grab. Players can also unlock a variety of other cosmetics including icons for their calling and Spartan cards, as well as weapon skins for their Assault Rifles, Sidekick pistols, and Battle Rifles.
Fracture events were previously introduced in Halo: The Master Chief Collection as a way to create more extraordinary and pointless armor sets. Eg, the last season of Master Main CollectionMultiplayer introduced armor sets based on a variety of other historical time periods such as Greek Spartan pieces and medieval horsemen. 343 Industries teased some other content coming soon including pink and blue armor overlays called “Winter Backup” (same as the first mission of Halo Reach), a holographic armor effect titled “Cyber Showdown” and a new helmet under the “Tactical Tactics” banner. It’s not clear if these are other events coming up in the future or the cosmetics will be introduced in store next week.
While the free content may not be the best for developers, it is certainly great for players, as they can be rewarded for just playing the game. Consider work Active changes are being made to Halo InfiniteMultiplayerand larger-scale fixes to follow, a free event like Fracture: Tenrai is a great option for players to get amazing cosmetics without having to buy them. There needs to be a balance between meaningful development and providing players with enough content to keep them content, and it looks like 343 Industries is doing its best to deliver that.
Halo InfiniteThe multiplayer beta is out now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with the full game’s release on December 8.
