Tennis star Coco Gauff: I tested positive for COVID and won’t be able to compete in the Olympics

US tennis star Coco Gauff is withdrawing from the Tokyo Olympics, after testing positive for coronavirus. She made the announcement on social media over the weekend, writing:

“I am very disappointed to share the news that I have tested positive for COVID and will not be able to attend the Olympic Games in Tokyo. I have always dreamed of representing the United States at the Olympics, and I hope there will be many more opportunities for me to make this a reality in the future. “
