The trailers for Books by Boba Fett gave us A look at the next big adventure in a galaxy far, far away and emphasizes the show’s focus on Star Wars‘sinister criminal underworld. After taking down Bib Fortuna, Boba Fett is now Tatooine’s crime king, although it seems The crown will weigh heavily on his head.
Temuera Morrison star to debut as Jango Fett in Attack of the clones and, as a model for The Clone Army, has long been a familiar face to fans. With Boba a Jango clone, he’s by far the best candidate to play in Mandalorian, where most agree he’s completely removed it from the park.
But Boba Fett’s tangled history can make understanding his motives difficult. Fortunately Star Wars guru Dave Filoni was present at the shoot to assist. In an interview with SFX Magazine, Morrison revealed that he had some apprehensions about opening up such a mysterious figure, but always relied on Filoni’s help:
“I made my reservation, but hey, I trust the people I work with. I’m lucky to have people like Dave Filoni, who have the ability to connect several dots – some ancient dots – and keep that authenticity. I relied on him a lot, because I’m not one of those actors who read every comic book and every bounty hunter book. ‘”
After those intros, I’m confident that Books by Boba Fett will not stumble. MandalorianOur creative team is present and precise, with Jon Favreau, Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez all involved in bringing back this badass corner of Star Wars universe to life. Many consider it the de facto third season of Mandalorian, especially that the first episode was called “301” during production rather than the typical “101” for the first episode of a series.
Books by Boba Fett will premiere on Disney Plus on December 29.
