Teens charged after supermarket robbery – Calgary

A 16-year-old man has been charged after two armed robberies at grocery stores in northwest Calgary.
Police said they responded to reports of robberies at two different Circle K locations on Silver Springs Boulevard NW between midnight and 1 a.m. on August 14
Several perpetrators entered each store, approached the cash register, produced handguns and stole an unspecified amount of money and cigarettes before fleeing on foot, according to a Wednesday morning publication.

According to police, four teenagers between the ages of 16 and 18 were involved in both incidents. Officials said they found evidence leading to the execution of two search warrants at multiple homes last Thursday.
The 16-year-old man, who police said was arrested without incident, has been charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm, two counts of wearing a disguise to commit a crime and two counts of violating conditions.

The Calgary Police Service said it is trying to identify the remaining suspects. All three teenagers wore black hoodies, black pants, and white runners.
