Ted Nugent Says America Has No Gun Problem

Ted Nugent said the United States had no gun problem when he issued a directive against allowing violent criminals to re-enter society.
The singer-songwriter said during a recent YouTube live stream that “bad guys need to be locked up,” adding that they won’t be able to commit other crimes if they’re never released from prison.
“If they shoot or stab people, I don’t care if they miss or not, it’s a dangerous, evil, cruel act,” he said. “We don’t want people who are capable of committing dangerous, evil and evil acts on our roads. We want them dead or in cages – forever”, per Blabbermouth.
He later said the US was living in a “engineered recidivism” due to the “failed court system” that too easily allows criminals to be released. Nugent stated, “Ninety-six percent of violent crime is committed by people released for violent crimes, before adding: “Here’s a little guitar player idea: don’t let them out.
“There is no gun problem in America,” added the musician, a member of the National Rifle Association. “There is a problem of intentional recidivism in America. You want to prevent ninety-six percent of violent crimes. Don’t let them out. “
Nugent’s comments according to data provided by the White House show that homicides are up 30% in 2020 from the year before. And in the first quarter of this year, the rate was 24% higher than in the same period in 2020 as well as 49% higher than two years ago.
A report released by the Conviction Project last month, as written about CNN, partly shows that spending decades in prison is not an effective way to reduce violent crime and recidivism rates.
It has also been concluded that in most international studies of recidivism, people convicted of murder or other violence re-offend less than 10% of the time.
