Team Batting and Pitching Span Finders Added to Stathead Baseball

Posted by Katie Sharp on July 1, 2021

The wait is over!

We’ve been listening to requests for new features from our users, and we’re excited to announce that we’ve launched two new tools for Baseball Stathead: Team Sales pitch and Ball Distance Finder.

Team Span Finder is a powerful research tool that allows you to search and compare team stats based on game time periods. You can further refine the search and specify a time interval from the beginning or the end of the section.

Here are a few examples of each type of search to get you started:

The biggest run difference in any span of 162 matches is +446, by Pirates 1901-02 and Yankees 1938-39.

The most outages of a team in the first 50 games of a season is 14, by 1969 Cubs.

Do you know? Since 1901, 137 teams have lost at least 15 of the last 20 games of a season. Only one of them post-season performance: 2000 Yankees (and they also won the World Series!).

We hope you really enjoy this addition to Stathead. If you are interested in subscribing to the service, you can Sign up for a free trial here!
