Taxi2g banned in Apex Legends for using Super Glide Exploit

While streaming yesterday, Taxi2g was banned from the game for using an abusive behavior. It should be noted that it was not specified that the use of mining was the reason for the player’s suffering. The in-game message just shows “Customer game account has been banned: Banned.” However, considering the fact that he used it in the game, that is most likely the reason that led to the ban.

Immediately after the ban, he created a new account to play but that got banned again. Now consider the fact that Apex Legends introduced a ban on hardware, which is not entirely surprising, to begin with. Taxi2g eventually emailed EA for clarification and they replied that he was banned for not following the rules of the game.

While all the evidence points to a glitch as the reason behind the ban, it’s quite surprising as this is the first and possibly only case where someone has been banned for using the glitch. It’s been a while since the glitch happened and no one has been banned yet. It remains to be seen whether the ban will be reversed.
