Talon Esports enters Dota 2 competing against Fly, Gabbi and more

taiIn one of the biggest roster announcements since the post The International 10 (TI10) began, Talon Esports, an Asian esports organization, has announced its entry into Dota 2 competing with Kim”Gabbi“Villafuerte and Tal”Flies“Aizik. This new team features some of the biggest and most talented players in professional Dota 2. Perhaps most notable is that Fly will be playing for the first SEA team in his long Dota 2 career. Talon Esports will be competing in the Southeast Asia region of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 and will likely start the journey in the open qualifiers.

Talon Esports announces entry into Dota 2 competing with Gabbi, Mikoto, kpii, Hyde and Fly

Talon Esports announced its international lineup in a blog post on its website. This team will play outside of Manila, Philippines.

Talon Esports Dota 2 roster:

Sean Zhang, CEO of Talon, said in announcing the list:

“DOTA 2 has been a game we’ve been looking to play for a long time and finally in 2021 we’ve arrived. The Philippines will be the home of our new roster and we look forward to receiving it. the country’s rabid fan base.”

Fly, one of the oldest players in professional Dota 2, moved from North America to Southeast Asia to join this new team. His departure from Evil Geniuses ends a period in which the team, while unstoppable, has had three top finishes in international events and is a formidable presence in regional events. . At the time of this writing, Evil Geniuses has yet to announce the departure of its captain.

Gabbi, who has been looking for a new team for a while, has finally landed on Talon Esports. After three years with TNC Predator, he parted ways with it in September 2019. Mikoto and Hyde last played for BOOM Esports. After failing to qualify for TI10, the team underwent a drastic roster change, parting ways with nearly all of its players.

Kpii last played for Team SMG during the second half of DPC 2021-22. He spent a considerable amount of time playing with Gabbi at TNC Predator before joining Team SMG.

Out of these five players, only Fly qualified for TI10. Furthermore, Fly’s performance against Evil Geniuses was quite poor, as the team placed 9-12 despite high expectations.

In their quest to qualify for TI11, these five players from Talon Esports will soon be competing in the SEA DPC open qualifiers. The details of the open qualifiers have yet to be announced.
