Tales From The Borderlands 2 Announced for PS5, Xbox, Switch, and PC

Gearbox made a surprise announcement during their Main Theater performance at PAX East today by revealing that there is a Stories from the border The game is in development. Details are pretty slim before being fully revealed later this year, but Telltale Games won’t be involved this time around.

When will Tales From The Borderlands 2 be released?

The new Tales From The Borderlands game will be released later this year. The game will involve new stories and a whole new adventure based on brand new characters. The teaser image shows the two figures silhouetted against the moon standing next to what I would hope is a giant cupcake. I like cake. Anyway, here’s what Randy Pitchford had to say about why the team went back to the universe, courtesy of Twitter user @JayShockblast The cameraman revealed:

“Many of you love Tales From The Borderlands. As you know, some of the characters from Tales From The Borderlands joined Borderlands 3, so we really love that format. There is a way to create characters, create new stories and explore all of that different from what is possible through shooting games. For our success and love for Tales, and for [of] We’re interested in developing the Borderlands universe in new ways, we thought it would be fun and exciting to once again dive into the interactive novel format.”

The game has been developed in-house by Gearbox for several years without any involvement from Telltale Games. 2K Games will do the publishing duties. Platform has not been confirmed so we are assuming the game will come to PS5 and PS4. A full reveal will come this summer.

Another information, Shaman King season 2 has been green-lit, but the release date is still unknown. Elsewhere, The House of the Dead Remake has been confirmed for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
