You might not even know that Taika Waititi has two new movies on the way, which is understandable given that the focus largely falls on the Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster sequel. Thor: Love and Thunder, but sports comedy Next goal have been waiting in the wings for a long time.
Inspired by a true story, Michael Fassbender plays Thomas Rongen, a soccer coach trying to lead American Samoa to the 2014 World Cup, despite the national team being considered the worst team on the planet. Production starts in November 2019 and ends in January 2020, but Limit line reported that a major casting change was made.

Armie Hammer originally played a small role in Next goal, but in another blow to the controversial star’s career prospects, he was dropped from the final cut and replaced by Will Arnett. To rub more salt into the wound, the character’s stats are also increased.
The official reason given was that Hammer wasn’t available for Waititi’s reboots, and his contributions were small enough to get others involved. However, brought up the accusations that have been stalking the actor for the past year, which can be a bit more than a simple schedule conflict.
