T1 reverse sweep DWG KIA with strong carry performance from Keria in 2021 LCK Summer Split

T1 upstream defeated DWG KIA in week six of the 2021 LCK Summer Split, with Keria leading his team.

It is not clear who will win this match trận League of Legends series after both teams showed strong form in the most recent match. T1 recently started experimenting more with their roster, replacing Teddy and Cuzz in place of Gumayusi and Oner. Although parts of the community initially viewed the trials as bad after the bad results from the Spring Split test, they quickly changed their mind as soon as T1 started to get much-needed wins.

Canna and Keria received the MVP votes for the film. The top laner used Jayce to take down his opponent in game two, an important starting point for the comeback. He did about 37% of the team’s total damage after repeatedly poking DK members before teamfights. The 18-year-old support player had one of the worst performances a support can have. He picks up Thresh and roams the map, making sure to kill left and right. When an ally is captured, he will rush to them with Mobility Boots with the Predator to quickly get them out of harm’s way with his lantern.

The first game of the series opened with a surprise Zac pick by DK’s Canyon. Junglers use champions to snowball quickly across the map lanes before focusing on picking up dragons and Baron when they start to regroup. T1 looked to be losing the game as they battled for group position and had good teamfights against the 2020 world champion, losing the first game after a 31-minute teamfight.

After Canyon’s performance against Zac, T1 banned the champion in Game 2 to avoid the disaster of Game 1. Both teams picked similar composition, but this time T1 took the lead because they weren’t faced with an unconventional pick. T1 almost ruined the match by giving up Infernal Dragon Soul, but it didn’t matter in the end, as their item advantage made the difference in teamfights afterward.

Keria identified himself as a carry in the final game of the series, picking Thresh after DK was banned by DK in the previous game. He performed brilliantly in the champ, roaming the map and building clues for his allies while saving them from danger. With a huge lead from Keria’s dribbles, T1 was able to close the game and complete a comeback after 23 minutes of play.

T1 (7-5) will return to Rift next week with two matches against Liiv SANDBOX and Afreeca Freecs. With T1’s recent performance boost, they should be able to take down their opponents and slowly climb to the top of the leaderboard.
