T1 bids farewell to Challengers League coach Bengi and 3 other members of the team

T1 bid farewell to four of its Challengers League of Legends team members and players earlier today, including head coach Bengi. Coach sayho, jungler Mowgli and bot laner Berserker have also left the team.

The organization has made some changes to the main team and the Challenger team. Earlier this week, one of T1’s key players over the past few years, Teddy, leave the team. Replacing mid laner with Clozer also left T1 earlier today.

At the moment, it is not known who will replace the aforementioned players and coaches of T1 Challenge Squad. But there could be more partings as T1 Challengers top laner Roach and Asper’s support expired yesterday.

But this roster change is not surprising as the T1 Challengers have had a difficult season this year. During the Spring Split, everything went according to plan. The team took first place in the regular season (15-3) and then qualified for the knockout stages. However, it all fell apart by the summer. The team came in last place with a record of 5-13.

For Bengi, this is his second year as a coach. The former world champion tried his luck in a new role after retiring in 2018 by becoming one of the coaches of SK Telecom T1. After failing to find success, he retired for two years and decided to return in the 2021 season.
