SVPlayer APK – watch at 60+ fps

SVP (aka SmoothVideo Project) converts any video to 60 fps (and even higher) and does this in real time. From the extensive feedback from the community, we know that anyone who has watched at least three movies at high frame rate will never want to watch anything at the outdated 24fps standard. 😉

More info plus desktop apps:

In-app purchase: frame rate conversion (MEMC) is a PAYING option after a short trial period.

Use the SmoothVideo Project (SVP) real-time motion interpolation engine (MEMC), which includes:

* Select target frame rate (48 fps, 60 fps, 120 fps, x2, x3 rate …)

* Flexible configuration

* Black line detection and illumination

more

* Built-in file browser supports streaming from Samba/CIFS, DLNA, WebDAV and FTP shares.

**********!!!!!! ***********

Please note that the SVP engine requires a powerful and recent CPU as well as vendor-specific OpenCL support. The least performance level of Snapdragon 855 is highly recommended for 1080p playback.

SVPlayer WILL drain battery like top games and it MAY NOT WORK on old/slow devices. Please don’t write a bad review just because your device can’t handle it.

**************************

Based on mpv video player support:

* All video and audio formats available

* Hardware video decoding

* Playback of network streams

* High quality scaling and rendering

* HDR tone mapping

* and more…

Q&A

=================

Q: Does my device support XXX?

A: We don’t have any phones/tablets on this planet on hand. Therefore, you can try SVPlayer for free and decide if it is right for you.

Q: Why is my device not supported?

A: Many reasons:

– Android version older than 9;

– RAM less than 2 GB (at least 3 GB recommended);

– devices that do not support and/or provide access to the OpenCL API – e.g. NVIDIA Shield.

Q: Recommended hardware?

A: Snapdragon 855 or higher, 4 GB RAM

Q: Will you support Android TV?

A: Probably later. Currently, no Android TV box is powerful enough. And Shield doesn’t have OpenCL.

Q: My device is lagging / freezing!

A: There are different methods to reduce CPU consumption:

– on the “Frame Rate” page, move the performance/quality slider step-by-step to the left;

– on the “Size and Light” page, set “Reduce Frames” to at least 1080p or even 720p.

– for 10-bit video, the option “Allow output at 10-bit color depth”

– disable hardware decoder (HW button), this can be helpful in some cases

Q: No video/green screen/etc

A: Try to disable hardware decoding (via preferences or with the HW button). Not every SoC supports hardware decoding of every video format or codec.

Q: Can I play Youtube videos (P**nhub, etc)?

A: You need a direct link to the M3U8 stream. You can use 3rd party software such as “Web Video Caster” which can open network stream in external player.

Q: Web Video Caster does not launch SVPlayer in Android 12!

A: This is a limitation of Android 12. Here is an explanation and possible workarounds:

Q: How to save/download converted video?

A: SVPlayer is a player —> <---, it doesn't "convert video" but inserts new frames in real time. There is no video encoder here. If you want to re-encode the video to 60fps - use the desktop SVP app (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Q: I can’t pay through Google

A: Install a standalone APK from our website.

Q: I can’t find my ASS/SSA subtitles on local storage

A: It’s a limitation of Anroid 11+, it only allows browsing through “media files” and .ass / .ssa is not “media” according to Google. However, you can still open them through the original file selector (green robot button).
