Susan Lucci recalls meeting for the first time Betty White in a recent interview, and it’s as sweet as you’d imagine.

Lucci worked with White on the set Hot in ClevelandThe series sees White as the caretaker of the house the three women move into after a trip to Cleveland makes them feel young and “hot”.

The series’ premise is hilarious, and the cast sells the plot perfectly. White, as Elka Ostrovsky, is iconic, fun yet sweet and her warm welcome to Lucci is something she will never forget.

In a conversation with EVERYONELucci shared that she tried to keep quiet when she first arrived on set because the cast was busy rehearsing.

Lucci is a guest star as a version of herself, and fans love seeing her interact with the cast. Upon arrival, she watched intently until White noticed and called her back.

“Suddenly, Betty White – whom I had never met, but admired, of course, from golden girls and everything else, just like everyone else – called me in a stage whisper, ‘Susan, Susan! Come sit next to me,’ and she patted the director’s chair beside her. “
