Suge Knight’s lawyer pleads guilty to perjury and conspiracy, banned from practicing law

Knight Suge is causing a stir about its legal representation.

Suge Knight’s, 56, former lawyer Matthew Fletcher, The 57-year-old pleaded guilty to conspiracy and perjury on Wednesday (February 16) and will subsequently be barred from practicing law for life. The decision came after prosecutors accused him of conspiring to bribe witnesses to have them lie to the rap mogul when he was facing murder charges in 2016. The discovery was brought to light. after prosecutors received orders to listen to prison phone calls between Fletcher and Knight in 2015.

Are known, Matthew Fletcher is also charged as an accessory after the fact that Suge Knight’s case and faces charges of bribery unrelated to testimony he gave at a disciplinary hearing before the California State Bar in 2016.

According to Fletcher’s co-consultant, Alexandra Kazarian, a plea agreement was made before the jury decided on a verdict. The terms of the settlement required Fletcher not to contest one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice and one count of perjury. He will also be placed on probation for 5 years and resign from the bar for life. Fletcher will have 90 days to resign or he could face prison. Fletcher faces four years in prison if convicted.

As previously reported, Knight Suge currently serving a 28-year sentence for his participation in a 2018 fatal beating he killed Terry Carter with his Ford F-150 and injured another person.
