If you’re a growing streamer on Twitch, you know well how difficult it can be to get followers. In the midst of the hustle, sometimes someone just fills your account with fake followers, and that ruins things to a pretty big extent. One streamer tried to fix that, but things went further south for him.
Streamer accidentally deleted all his followers when trying to remove bot
Above r / LivestreamFail subreddit, user AustinandGaming posted a clip recording the incident. Using the website Twitch Tools, Evan is trying to get rid of some fake followers on his Twitch account. However, he forgot to add a filter to select bots and as a result, he accidentally removed all followers from his account.
It took a while for him to realize when some of his followers expressed concerns about them not following him on Twitch. At first, he thought he had screwed something up, but in the end it caused him to accidentally block everyone while trying to remove the bot from his account.
He added, “That was really bad. I literally banned thousands of people because I went through the list of known bots. Now it will be impossible to distinguish between real people and bots.” After the crash, his follower count increased to 1800 but still far below his original number. With that said, the streamer thinks this breakdown will get him some good stuff, and considering the fact that the post already has over 6000 upvotes on Reddit, he’ll be hoping he gets it back. at least some profit for the big mistake.
