Stephen Colbert roasts Donald Trump Jr’s desperate steak shilling handle

Donald Trump may have cheated his supporters out of $250 million after the 2020 election, revealed during the committee’s Jan. 6 hearing this week, but his son has since resorted to a far more familiar handle.

“Until they face consequences, the ex-president’s family is still out there selling their wares,” Stephen Colbert said Tuesday night late show“including the eldest MAGA son, Don Jr., seen here wondering, ‘How come the plane doesn’t have to flap?'”

The host called Donald Trump Jr.’s latest business venture a “homage” to his father’s infamous Trump Steaks with his version of a meat-packing company called Good Ranchers. After playing a clip in which he promised to have meat “delivered to your door 100 percent of the time,” Colbert joked, “That sounds less like a delivery and more like a threat.”

But he was even more unsettled by a “steak shilling video” made by Trump Jr.’s fiancee Kimberly Guilfoyle to “push his meat,” in which she can be seen grilling them indoors.

“Holy carbon monoxide poisoning!” said Colbert in response. “Who grills around the house like that?!” He impersonated the former Fox News host, who grew increasingly sleepy as she turned steaks and ranted about freedom.

But there was one more question that needed answering: “What’s the scam here given this family’s whole deal? Is it gopher meat? Maybe.”

Well, it turns out Good Ranchers’ accreditation with the Better Business Bureau was revoked after numerous complaints, including one claiming the steaks were “discolored and covered in mud.”

“Well, like dad, like steak,” joked Colbert.
