The prequel and the original trilogy are having a different bridging story with Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi and fans are very eager to find out the release date of episode 1 of season 1. While the series will obviously be Disney +, fans are also wondering if it will be available on other streaming services (or potentially Blu-ray, and how to watch it if it does. Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 1 Episode 1 release date and time

The Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series is slated to release in 2022. As we haven’t heard any announcement of a specific release time so far, we’ll bet it’ll launch on Last year. Alternatively, it could slide as early as 2023.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi-focused limited series actually began its life as a movie in the Star Wars Anthology Series. However, after Solo: A Star Wars Story Disappointing at the box office, the film Obi-Wan was paused, then expanded into a six-part miniseries.

Not much has been revealed about the series yet, except that it will take place ten years after Star Wars: Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith on Tatooine. However, we can theorize that it will have to do with Obi-Wan protecting Luke Skywalker as he grew up on the wet farm of his aunt and uncle.

Ewan McGregor will return as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Hayden Christensen has been cast as Darth Vader. That means the series is sure to be a delight for prequel buffs, who will love seeing the two together on screen for the first time in over 15 years.

How to watch Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi

So far, Obi-Wan Kenobi has only been announced for Disney+. It’s unlikely we’ll see it on other streaming services. This means that people living in territories without Disney+ will have no legal way to watch the series. However, the service may launch in other countries between now and when Obi-Wan Kenobi airs. Since Mandalorian hasn’t been released on Blu-ray yet, we doubt that Obi-Wan will see an actual release as well.
