Star Wars Eclipse Era: What time does the setting take place?

Star Wars Eclipse there is a reveal at Game Awards 2021and fans are speculating where it will fit in Star Wars timeline. Of course, it is always a gamble on the timing that a new media will come out with so many eras. So, where are we going this time? We will visit The Old Republic, New Republic, prequel trilogy, original trilogy or sequel trilogy? Read on below to find out.

What timeline is Star Wars Eclipse set in?

Star Wars Eclipse takes place in the High Republic era on the timeline. Much media is expected to take place in this era that spans about two hundred years between the 300 years before the battle of Yavin (BBY) and 82 BBY.

The Age of the Supreme Republic was the golden age of the Galactic Republic, in which the Jedi were at work, and the borders of the galaxy were pushed back. Of course, things are far from perfect, and the forces that could cause the downfall of the Old Republic are ready to conspire.

We don’t know what kind of game Star Wars Eclipse will be, although being from Quantic Dream we assume it will be in the adventure genre. We also don’t know where or when the game is set in the Era of the Great Republic. A variety of environments are shown, with particular emphasis on Trade Federation ships. Maybe we’ll learn more about the Trade Federation before it becomes the core of the Independent Systems Alliance.

In any case, it’s nice to get some Star Wars games from other developers. EA has held exclusivity to the license for many years, and we’re excited to see some more spins in the universe. We love Detroit: Become Human, so we have high hopes for the next game from Quantic Dreams.
