Star Trek Online shares some epic Klingon heavy metal


It’s time to bang your bumpy, circlet-adorned, honorable combat-loving head. Star Trek Online was apparently within the temper to rock when singer/songwriter Jason Charles Miller and actress Mary Chieffo unleashed the music Steel and Flame, a metallic ballad within the sport’s Home United replace that describes L’Rell’s return and rise to energy inside the Klingon empire and her battle in opposition to the Mad Emperor J’mpok.

Is it a bizarre flex if L’Rell herself sings about her accomplishments? Contemplating Klingons, in all probability not.

Chieffo talked at size about recording the music and her ideas on the character of L’Rell in an interview, and all of it reads like somebody who is actually having fun with their work.

“It was such an exhilarating e-mail to get. I’ve all the time liked singing. […] I are inclined to ask, ‘What is required of this music? Okay, that is the sort of rock star vibe that we want.’ And the Klingon vocalization caters to it as nicely. I simply wished it to be as badass as potential and as epic as potential and that was the way in which to sing it.”
