STALKER 2 file size on Xbox is even bigger than first thought

STALKER 2 fans eager to try out the sequel will likely need to free up some hard drive space, as the required storage capacity increases.
With the original title first released in 2007, STAFF fans have been waiting a long time for the mainline sequel. That sequel is currently well developed as STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl, but fans may need to clear up memory on their Xbox Series X/S console to actually play it.
Although the game is still a few months away from its expected release date, EXPERT 2 initially revealed its file size to be sizable by the time of E3 2021. While some fans were initially concerned about the concept of the game requiring 150GB of storage, it appears that players are now will need to reserve more room for the game.
Xbox page for EXPERT 2 updated the game’s requirements information, it is now revealed that the game will require a stunning 180 GB of hard drive space. While the Xbox Series X has an inherent 1 TB hard drive, this will still take up almost a fifth of its own space. It’s even worse for Xbox Series S players, as the console launched with about half the storage space, with SSD 512 GB. While it is possible to expand the storage space of an Xbox Series console, doing so can be expensive and not necessarily accessible to everyone.
It should be pointed out that with the game still a few months away, maybe EXPERT 2Your file size may vary again or improve. Further optimization of the game may result in a smaller download size when it actually launches, and the developer has previously noted that the specifications of the Steam PC version are not finalized and may be subject to change. change. However, the Xbox version seems to be heading in the wrong direction, as the PC version is still described as taking up 150 GB.
While a game of this size shouldn’t be too much of a problem for players, it’s unfortunately not the only one. Call of Duty: Vanguard Whirlpool pre-release partly due to its file size and even some older games that were once rivaled EXPERT 2request of, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare over 200 GB speed and Quantum Break almost fit EXPERT 2 at 178GB.
It makes sense for new games to have sizable file sizes, especially as aspiring developers look to exploit the capabilities of these next-generation consoles and graphics cards. This is unlikely to be the last game to take up this much storage – or even more – and it could be something players have to get used to with advances like increased texture size and there is hope requires more resources.
