Springfield Township drive-by injures 2

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – Authorities are investigating following a shooting that injured two 18-year-olds in Summit County, The town of Springfield police said.

Officers were called to section 3400 of Linnway Drive around 7:45 p.m. Friday to reports of shootings. When they arrived, they said there were two men on the ground, both of whom appeared to have been shot.

Police said after speaking with witnesses, it appeared the incident began as a “neighborhood dispute.” The situation escalated quickly when three men in a black Cadillac that looked brand new ran past and reported 15 shots fired.

Police said they were tracking three suspects believed to be between 18 and 25 years old.

The victims were taken to Akron City Hospital, but their condition has not been reported.
