Splatoon 2 DLC and More Sega Genesis Games Added to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack

The Sega Genesis library has been expanded once again for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. Sonic Hedgehog Spinball, Shining Force IIand Space Harrier II all will be added to the Expansion Pack, bringing the total number of SEGA Genesis games to 25 games. Splatoon 2 DLC has also been added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

When will new Nintendo Switch Online content be released?

Both the Splatoon 2 DLC and three new Sega Genesis games have been added to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Packs today, April 22. Splatoon 2 players will have access to the Octo Expansion, where players step into the game. Dressed as an Octoling known as Agent 8 After waking up on a subway station in Deepsea Metro, Agent 8 must find his way back to the surface of Inkopolis by finding four ladders and completing 80 full missions challenges. Players can also join multiplayer matches as new characters.

Sonic Hedgehog Spinball, Shining Force II, and Space Harrier II are the new Genesis games added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Sonic Hedgehog Spinball is a Sonic pinball game in which the iconic hedgehog must prevent Dr. Robotnik from enslaving the animals of the planet Mobius in his volcanic fortress. Shining Force II is a tactical RPG in which the Shining Force team must defeat the demon king Zeon after a thief steals the jewels of Light and Shadow and frees him. Ultimately, Space Harrier II is a railroad shooter where Harrier must save the Fantasy land from hostile forces.

Today’s new content is just the latest addition to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack as the company increases membership value for players. We know there are still two more Nintendo 64 titles to be added – Pokemon Snap and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards – although Nintendo hasn’t said when that will be.

In other news, the latest rumors suggest the Skate 4 cooperative freestyle multiplayer mode will let players build skate parks together. Elsewhere, more details have surfaced about Halo Infinite’s King of the Hill, Land Grab and Last Spartan Standing modes coming to Season 2.
