The boat is not only a place for the spirit animals to live until they are ready to pass, but it is also the player’s place to complete daily tasks and prepare for upcoming adventures, so optimizing the space is on crucial to the boat.
Updated August 17, 2022 by Nikole Brinkman: Spiritfarer has grown into one of the best cozy indie games, delighting gamers around the world and taking its rightful place alongside iconic games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. As its attention has grown over the years of its release, the developers have given back to fans by adding a DLC that not only brings players two new amazing characters, a new island and a mini-game, but also new builds for player boats !
But are players really looking forward to finding the perfect spot on their already crowded ship for these new spots? Some do, while others dread the idea of rearranging everything again to make it perfect. Luckily, these are just a few simple tips and tricks on how players can rearrange their cards ships in the perfect layout.
When reorganizing a ship’s layout, it can be difficult to get the feel and groove of where everything is. Luckily, there’s a really easy way to overcome this. All ship buildings have an obvious theme for each, e.g. B. residential or industrial. If players don’t want to think too much about it, but want to know where everything is on which side, this is a great option. Players can easily split the boat on each side and place the correct building in both places.
If players want to get even more complicated, they can split the boat into three different areas, so the farming areas for plants and animals can also have their own area. As with all of these options, how you want it to work is up to the player’s guts, so there can be multiple ways it can go. This is a great option for those who don’t want to hop around sawmills or looms to visit a character, or avoid characters just to eat. Thank you to the players who are sharing their ideas for recreating the world!
Keep it simple
The biggest problem most players face when starting their boat layout is the fact that the structures have such a strange shape. Even some of the healthiest games can become stressful for players. The various houses and rooms aren’t perfect squares, creating a Tetris-like puzzle to make sure they all fit nicely. This leaves strange gaps and frustration. Finding the perfect fit for all structures can be both time-consuming and tedious, so some players opt for the lesser evil of building the boat in layers.
Luckily, when Stella upgrades her boat, the altimeter will be raised, meaning players can build structures feet high off the ground. This is a great strategy for those who don’t want to worry about a puzzle while building. This is also a great tool for those who like to stay organized with categories. And thankfully, this Reddit user was so helpful by showing off his work for inspiration. Because there are different structures, such as B. Ghost Shelters, Crafting Rooms, and Gardens, players can place each of these categories on a level so they know exactly where to take their boat when the time comes. So don’t worry about making good use of each space, just organize it to meet preferred comfort standards.
What is important
Another way players have organized their boats is to focus on what matters most. Granted, this is relative to the player, but it’s a great way to ensure the player can complete their tasks without having to find every location every day. For everyday use, it would be helpful to place the various buildings that are important to the player towards the front, where Stella’s cabin is located, while pushing some less important buildings, such as the ghost rooms, towards the back of the boat.
This might not look aesthetically pleasing, but it allows players to use their time efficiently. This doesn’t waste time, but it can waste space, but for those who prefer to go about their daily work to continue their adventures, this is a recommended layout.
Play the puzzle
There are a few players who have taken the few hours to organize their boat so that it is completely level with hardly any gaps so everything is exactly where they want it. While this is a strategy that not all players will want to use, it is aesthetically pleasing to look at and prevents players from having to climb ladders to get to a specific area.
There are a couple of players who have done that and it’s gone really well. However, there are a few downsides to this layout. While everything looks neat, it’s a little disorganized. The usual structures tend to be widely scattered, so finding specific rooms takes a bit of getting used to. And when trying to make sure everything fits perfectly, players will find that they can’t really choose where everything goes as they try to make everything fit. For those who have patience and enjoy organizing, this is the perfect strategy for making your boat beautiful.
Use skill builds
Throughout the game, Stella will come across shrines where she can unlock certain abilities to navigate the map. Players will then receive blueprints of special items that can be built on the ship, allowing Stella to move around the boat with ease. Using these structures can help shape the boat into levels.
Placing ziplines to connect levels on the boat or even traverse the entire ship can make things easier. Air vents are also a nice touch to move up when players get tired of ladders and jumping. But while this tactic is a great way to access the entire boat, it still eats up space, so make sure you plan carefully where to plug it in. Useless zip lines can take up space that could be used for other structures.
wrong way driver is available for Xbox One, Stadia, PC, PS4 and Switch
