Source: The Guardian to promote Trent to a full-time member of the VALORANT lineup

The Guard will promote Trent to its full member VALUABLE list, multiple sources tell Dot Esports. The Guard added Trent to the roster to try on in place of founding member Harrison “psalm” Chang 11 days before the first open qualifiers.
Before the open qualifiers, Trent was a relatively unknown commodity. He’s spent time with the likes of Flickbaiters and Fenrir, but he hasn’t played against top competition. In the first open qualifier, Trent had 1.26 K/D and 157 ADR, ranking eighth among Sova players (minimum 100 rounds played), according to VLR.gg.
Trent’s additional firepower took The Guard to the next level, defeating FaZe, Luminosity, and Knights in a surprising upper frame run. Although the team lost to an experienced XSET team, they still have one game left to qualify for the group stage of the NA Stage One Challengers.
In the lower bracket, they face Akrew in a win or go home scenario. However, The Guard wasn’t broken by the pressure, as Trent dropped over 30 lives in an epic win. The Guardians’ win over Akrew earned them a spot in the group stage of the NA Stage One Challengers. They will be joined by XSET, NRG and Version1, who made it through the open qualifiers, as well as invited teams of 100 Thieves, Sentinels, Envy and Cloud9.
The Guard will return to action on February 11 when the group stage begins.
