Sony wants to make 3 more Spider-Man movies with Tom Holland

Sony has been thinking about a series of Spiderman movie now Spider-Man: There’s no way home coming to theaters soon.

Marvel Producer Amy Pascal say that Sony (who owns the rights to Spider-Man and has a deal with Disney) is plotting “three next movies” with Tom Holland.

“This isn’t the last movie we’ll be doing with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,” Pascal said. “We’re working on the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We were thinking these were three movies, and now we’re going to see three sequels. This isn’t the last movie in our MCU. ”

Pascal has been with Spider-Man since the days of Tobey Maguire, but she’s also credited with bringing about the Sony/Marvel collaboration to bring the character into the Marvel Expanded Universe.

The new film, Pascal said, is at the same time huge and intimate.

“Oh. Oh, the movie… so ambitious and the movie has everything one would expect from a Spider-Man movie. All the spectacle, all the heart, but at the same time, as well as the expansion, it’s always been a very intimate story about Peter Parker…and his heart.”

Also, the film is not required to wrap around a bow Spiderman movies for years, but it does draw conclusions about this particular Spider-Man’s journey through the final three films.

“… It was the pinnacle of Come home trilogy, which tells the story of Tom Holland becoming the Spider-Man we’ve all been waiting for him to be. It definitely tells that story and it has… and as you know from watching the trailers, it brings together some of the characters from the first movies. ”

Another big piece of hype Spider-Man: There’s no way home are rumors about people who will or will not appear in the movie. We already know a number of villains will return from previous films, but the rumors that Maguire or Andrew Garfield will play their own characters are not going away. Pascal said it’s hard to keep things going.

“Yes, we were… we didn’t want to spoil things for everyone, you know? It’s one of the problems with movies that people know everything before they enter the theater. So we tried to make sure everyone got the full theatrical experience when they went to the movies. And yes, you try to never confirm anything in any movie, but this movie is a big one. ”

Although Pascal confirmed that more movies are in the works, there are no official plans to do so. For now, she just wants people to enjoy the latest movie that hits theaters on December 12.
