Sons of the Forest fans have a theory about Timmy
Sons of the Forest, the sequel to the horror co-op game The Forest, is coming out in 2022, and fans think they have some idea what one of the characters will be.
Recently, it was announced that Children of the forest, the sequel to the online survival horror game Forest by Endnight Games, will launch in May 2022. Upon release, the first game was considered one of the best horror movie titles of 2018, with its impressive visuals, cooperative gameplay, survival mechanics, and overall tense atmosphere. A release trailer for the sequel was rolled out a few days ago, and while there’s been virtually no word on what the story will be about, fans have been theorizing about how Timmy’s will be. It is thought that the new game may feature Timmy from Forest, the son is missing and the player must rescue. One person uploaded a screenshot from a recent trailer, indicating that one of the characters has a scar on their right eyebrow. They suggest this hints at players surviving and fighting alongside the now grown kid from previous games, or possibly someone related to him.
Others in subReddit felt the same way, with another user with the alias cmputerguy posting another screenshot from Children of the forest videotapes. Similar to the topic of No_Woodpecker2718, it has been suggested that Timmy joins the game as an adult. The user-generated evidence involved another character shouting “get down son” and Timmy is said to be actually crouching. If true, this explains the theory that the player can take on the role of Timmy in Children of the forest, that was initial speculation when the first trailer was dropped last year.
It should be pointed out, of course, that these are just theories at this stage, although it’s interesting how many people have come up with suggestions. Horror fans are clearly excited about the sequel, with some question from Forest that Children of the forest may need to reply, such as who the cannibals really are, or whether Timmy survived in the first place.
