Sofia Urista apologizes after having sex with a male fan during a concert: I pushed the limit too far
Sophia Urista issued an apology after urinating on a fan at the Welcome to Rockville Music Festival.
Sophia Urista is the frontman for the New York-based cover band Brass Against. The musician and singer was also a contestant on season 11 of “The Voice” in 2016.
While performing at a music festival in Daytona on November 11, she told the crowd she needed to “release” herself. She then brought a male fan onto the stage and instructed him to lie down, before urinating on him as she performed Rage Against the Machine’s performance of “Wake Up.” She later apologized for her actions.
She wrote on social media,
“Hey guys. I want to talk about my performance at the Rockville metal festival in Daytona.
I always push the limits of music and stage. That night, I pushed the limit too far.
I love my family, the band and the fans more than anything and I know some have been hurt or offended by what I’ve done. I apologize to them and want them to know that I didn’t mean to hurt them.
I am not a shock artist. I always want to put my music first. I am so grateful for all of your love and support.”
Fans were flooded with comments with messages of support for the male singer. One person wrote,
“It’s rock and roll baby! it’s good now!!”
