Singer and songwriter Snoh Aalegra clarifying questions about her cô race.
She came Twitter to address her racial comments when fans argue about social media Sunday evening (July 18).
She started with,
“I just see the usual biweekly debate on twitter about my ethnicity. My heritage and bloodline is not a philosophical subject. I have hard truths for all of you.”
She added,
“LAST TIME:”
“I am 100% IRANIAN, I am part of the population from the south of Iran where people have darker skin tone. I was born and raised in Sweden as a second generation immigrant. I am not of Swedish blood but I consider myself Swedish because that is the country I grew up in.”
She also shared a childhood photo of herself as a child and made it clear,

She ended up with,
“I love you all, God bless.”
But some fans referenced a tweet from 2019 when she shared a photo of her father and wrote,
“My father is dark-skinned and has a deformity. We also have black people in Iran… all colors. My mother is light-skinned and has green/brown eyes”
Another pointed out that she used the n-word on social media in 2016.
