Sneaky Shelter Cat Escapes Out Of “Escape Proof” Cage

MILAN, Italy – May 4th: A cat on a sofa on May 4, 2020 in Milan, Italy. After getting used to spending 24 hours a day with their owners during the Covid-19 pandemic, pets can suffer from separation anxiety as people return to their daily lives. (Photo by Vittorio Zunino Celotto / Getty Images)

Cats can be very playful and get in and out of some pretty tight spaces, but this shocked me.

The Atascosa County Animal Control Department released a video on their Facebook page of one of their cats escaping what they consider to be an “escape proof” cage.

The video shows the black cat sticking its paw through the bars and releasing the latch to escape. The fact that the video is set to the Mission Impossible theme song just makes it so much better!

The master cat is currently unnamed, but has been adopted as a shelter. Something tells me that when people watch this adorable video, the cat will soon be adopted.
