A lot of the United States has some extent of smoke because of the fires within the western states and Canada, however the lighter concentrations will not be noticeable to most residents. When you have pink sunrises and sunsets, it may very well be due to the smoke. Above is the near-surface smoke forecast for 4 a.m. MDT August 5, 2021.
