Call of Duty: Vanguard, like most games in the series, SMGs and Assault Rifles take the throne as the best weapon category for players. When Call of Duty games generally lean towards either class a bit and Assault Rifles are generally a bit better this year, SMGs are still strong due to the smaller slots that feature Call of Duty: Vanguardmap lineup of.
However, when entering a Shipment or Das Haus match, players will want the right SMG gear. While there are no weapons in the class that are truly unusable, a few are very clearly at the bottom and top of the list. Because the Call of Duty: Vanguard For players unsure of which weapons are meta and which ones to avoid, tiered lists are a good way to get a quick grasp of the best and worst options available.
B Tier: Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Sten and PPSh-41
Call of Duty: VanguardSten is at the bottom of the list due to its low rate of fire, poor range, and great recoil. As a result, players will want to use Ho Chickenon’s 248MM barrel to make the weapon explode as soon as they have the ability to do so. .45 ACP 20 Round Mags also help reduce damage, although they force the player to reload more often. Even with the best attachment settings, the gun has more downsides than other SMGs, making it worthy of its place in the C-class.
Luckily, the Sten is now a bit more bearable, as are other SMGs. The gun was strongly impacted by Call of Duty: Vanguardweapons bloom, but Sledgehammer Games reduced the hatch by about 60% for every weapon in the game. This makes the Sten more viable than before, helping it avoid D-class and climb to C-rank along with PPSh-41. It is also Arthur Kingsley’s favorite weapon, allowing the player to level up faster which will help the player through painfully low levels.
Call of Duty: VanguardPPSh-41 of hurt by its intense recoil, a drawback of its rate of fire. Unfortunately, players will need to push through the first few levels to get attachments that reduce recoil. Furthermore, to really improve the gun’s damage and other stats, the player needs to level it up for most of the way. The ZAC 300MM and .30 Russian Short 35 Round Mags are both unlocked closer to level 70 than level 1, which means gamers need to grapple with PPSh’s downsides for a long time. The process is a lengthy one as guns are not the Operator’s favorite weapon, so players will want to use whatever Double Weapon XP tokens they have. Once these two attachments are unlocked, the gun becomes a great choice.
B Tier: Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Owen Gun and M1928
Call of Duty: VanguardOwen Gun possibly one of the most underrated weapons in the game. Its big downside is its magazine, which is in an odd location. Found on top of the gun as opposed to below it, the player will have limited visibility with default mags. 7.62 Gorenko 72 Round Drums are slightly better in this respect, although they do take up the right part of the screen, continuing the problem of obscured vision.
However, if the player can get used to the gun’s odd appearance, it can be a reliable SMG due to its many strengths. Its average rate of fire can be improved with the Ho Chickenon 142MM barrel, while other attachments can completely eliminate the recoil. With its solid damage and range, there’s a lot to love about the gun and it’s my favorite weapon. Call of Duty: Vanguard Operator Lucas made sure it could be leveled up quickly.
Call of Duty: VanguardM1928 of right there with Owen Gun. Better known as the Thompson or Tommy Gun, the weapon’s separate drumstick ensures players have all the ammo they’ll need to shoot down their enemies as they work to upgrade it. With the weapon being strong at close range by default, players can focus on expanding its strengths. Chariot 2.5” Rapid barrel and .45 ACP 30 Round Fast Mags are both solid accessories for an already good gun.
A Tier: Call of Duty: Vangurd’s Type 100
There are many advantages Call of Duty: Vanguard100 . Type, and if the MP-40 is nerfed in Season 1, this SMG can quickly steal the top spot. As a meta weapon due to its high damage and speed, the Type 100 can be leveled up quickly as it is Wade’s gun of choice. Even with the best attachments, its main drawback will be the small magazine size, although the player can compensate by equipping the Sleight of Hand.
Fortunately, the small magazine is the weapon’s only downside, like Call of Duty: Vanguard player will quickly find out that it works well from all ranges with the right attachments. The Russian .30 Round 30-round shotgun increases damage by 2, making them a must, and the Waruachi 134MM Rapid barrel will help players shed those magazines quickly. For those more interested in outperforming the competition in Season 1 than right now, Type 100 is worth the level up.
S-rank: Call of Duty: Vanguard’s MP-40
Finally, yes Call of Duty: VanguardMP-40 of, is the best of the best in the SMG category. Even without the attachment, players should have no problem topping the leaderboard with this gun equipped. It only gets better when the player mounts it in the gunsmith, as TTK goes from awesome to ridiculous. With the 9MM Para 24 Round Fast Mag and Krausnick 317MM 04B, players will be nearly unstoppable. The weapon is also Halima’s favourite, ensuring players can level up quickly, and gamers will want to make the most of it before it inevitably suffers mass nerfs.
Call of Duty: Vanguard currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
Call of Duty: Vanguard delivers an action-packed and extremely enjoyable Multiplayer Campaign, although the Zombies experience is not as expected.
