Smash personality D1 again accused of harassment by streamer – GENERAL News

Pro Smash player and commentator D’Ron “D1” Maingrette was previously accused of sexually assaulting Kaitlyn “KTDominate” Redeker in 2016 at the Smash the Record event. Now, D1 is once again accused of assaulting women in the Super Smash Bros.

Filmmaker and streamer Sesh Evans gave her own experience with D1 in TwitLonger July 16. She revealed memories of D1 taking advantage of her while she was drunk, an experience similar to KTDominate’s supposed experience with D1 in 2016.

Sesh started TwitLonger by saying that at first she “didn’t feel the need” for others to hear her experience. But after seeing D1 announce he might be back on the scene, Sesh decided to share his plight in hopes of keeping D1 away from the Smash community.

Sesh explains: “After last year and finding out I wasn’t lucky or alone in my experience, I was extremely disappointed. It was heartbreaking to know that someone I consider a friend could be. do that”. “I was hoping I wouldn’t have to tell the story. I don’t like sharing my bedroom furniture. I hate this. I’m angry that this needs to be said but I feel a responsibility to say it. out now.”

Sesh discusses D1 harassment and assault at E3 2017

Sesh told the Smash community that she has been friends with D1 for quite some time, since 2013. The two became mutually beneficial friends at E3 in 2016. This arrangement lasted about a year. That’s when she decided to end it.

Sesh decided to tell D1 that she was done with being “profitable” friends at E3 2017. They hung out together at the after-E3 party so she could have a “crossroads conversation” but She noticed that he was very drunk. D1 tells her they can talk in a Lyft on the way back to their hotel.

But instead of talking, D1 immediately tried to make up with Sesh in Lyft, she wrote. She told him to wait and listen to her first. But D1 “continues to grab and kiss.” Sesh kept trying to say “no”, telling D1 that she had a boyfriend.

According to Sesh, D1 responded by saying, “I don’t know him. He doesn’t need to know.”

Sesh tells D1 that he needs to stop. Sesh then tried to get D1 up to his hotel room, worried about his drunken state. While D1 was in the bathroom, Sesh ordered his Lyft to return to his own room. But then, Sesh wrote, D1 came out of the bathroom “completely naked.”

That’s when D1 allegedly attacked Sesh, ripping off her clothes and tying his head between her legs. Eventually, Sesh managed to get D1 to bed and he eventually passed out. Fifteen minutes later, she got into her Lyft.

“I feel like I’m going to be fine, I’m going to survive, and there’s no way he’ll remember what he’s done. It’s not okay and I’ll tell him when given the chance, ask what he really misses,” Sesh said of the next day. “I mean, ‘You know how you always want to avoid a TwitLonger right? Well last night I definitely had one of those friends. So maybe consider never getting drunk again. Please say this as a friend. ”

D1 ignores her text the next day. He also ignores her when they hang out with mutual friends. Sesh later found out that D1 had told everyone that she had “teased” him the night before. When she finally spoke to D1 about that night, he was said to have been upset and told her she had “selfishly taken him away from other opportunities.”

Despite the frustrations, Sesh decided to keep quiet about the false rumors. But Sesh felt she had to move on when she heard about KTDominate’s story. She wrote that “her heart dropped” when she saw TwitLonger launch. While she doesn’t want those claims to be true, Sesh fully believes in the woman she has never met. Sesh also wrote that she felt she might have been raped by D1 herself if she had handled the evening differently.

“It’s painful to realize that a friend (and someone who often gives people a positive experience) also has this dark side. The sense of betrayal that I have from everything makes me glad he took it upon himself. It felt like there was hope for him as a person because he did, that he really, really knew he messed up so badly. come on,” said Sesh.

She ended TwitLonger by telling the Smash and D1 communities that they could do better.

Smash community reacts to D1 . allegations

Earlier in the week, D1 shared a video in which he explained how the past year has been “the hardest period of his entire life”. He then told his side the story of KTDominate, denying many of her allegations.

Most of the responses to D1’s video have been positive and supportive, which is probably why Sesh felt she had to share her story.

After Sesh shared TwitLonger, many people responded that she should present a “receipt”, as proof of this situation. This includes requests for evidence of Lyft trips and testimony from hotel staff. Sesh wrote a follow-up tweet that employees won’t remember at this point.

When others accused Sesh of trying to “cancel” D1, she tweeted back that she wasn’t trying to ruin his life or career. She simply wants to take away his foundation.
