Skyrim players write touching poems for Sofie and Lucia

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is a landmark game that has helped define the direction of open world gaming and RPGs in general over the past decade. This hugely popular game is known for its intricate world, branching narrative options, and loads of lively characters. However, some members of SkyrimTheir massive cast seems to be more beloved than others, as shown by one player who wrote a touching poem dedicated to Sofie and Lucia.
Sofie and Lucia are not characters with significant links to the game’s overall plot. The two of them are one of many young people that orphan Skyrim players can apply after meeting the requirements. Although they are all level 1 and provide relatively little gameplay benefit, it seems that the girls still leave their mark on the memory of many gamers.
Redditor letterlegs shared a 16-line poem titled “To Sofie and Lucia,” as a tribute to gamers’ digitally-loving daughters. Some lines directly refer to the situation Sofie and Lucia were in when the Dragonborn encountered them – Lucia begged to be able to survive in the city of Whiterunand Sofie sell flowers and flower baskets for a living in Windhelm. The poem says that the Dragonborn have lived countless lives, but Sofie and Lucia will always be their daughters.
“Why are you begging
alone under the bare branches?
And you, in the snow,
Have you sold any flowers yet?
I will buy them all.
You did not recognize me,
But I know you well.
I have lived countless lives,
as a beggar, and prince,
I’ve done great things,
I was staring at
Oblivion’s eyes and smile.
But every time we meet,
no matter who you might see,
you will always be
real girls to me. ”
Sofie and Lucia are just two of the many orphans that can be found in Skyrim, but the couple has some remarkably tragic circumstances. Sofie’s mother died when she was young, and her father, a Stormcloak, died in battle. When Dragonborn met her, she was sleeping outside his house Niranye, a merchant and hedge affiliated with Thieves’ Guild. Lucia’s mother is also dead, her father is apparently not in the photo, and her aunt and uncle kicked her out when they took over her mother’s farm. With stories like this behind them, it’s easy to see why the letters get so attached.
It seems that other fans also have strong feelings about Skyrimadoption mechanism. Several users have shared their stories of adopting Sofie or Lucia as well as other unfortunate orphans players may encounter. Others mourn it Skyrim players need mods through to bring home more than two of these troublesome children. In particular, one user requested a poem dedicated to Meeko, a dog that can be recruited as a follower or adopted as a pet.
