The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is often praised for its stunning graphics, interesting locations and costumes, with the game often inspiring works of art.
To say that The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is popular seems a bit redundant. It’s impressive that it’s still in the spotlight at over 11 years old. In fact, it’s one of the most popular games on Valve’s Steam deck device, which makes perfect sense from a PC gaming perspective. There are a number of reasons why Bethesda’s epic is still going strong after all this time, from its visual stunning to its interesting quests to the fact that it brings out people’s inner artist.
A Reddit user named ruba666, who obviously has a Skyrim Fan, has been showing off her drawing skills lately with an image showing a character wearing full Nightingale armor and holding the signature bow. It’s an impressive sketch that many have praised in the comments. A few have offered the artist a few suggestions on how to improve it, but the consensus is that it’s a display of great skill, especially for those familiar with the armor set from the game.
For those who are less familiar, Skyrim‘s Nightingales are a secret gang of thieves. Found deep in the Thieves Guild quest line, they form an inner circle within the already rather elusive faction of criminals. Though the Nightingales are few in number, they are sworn to protect the shrines of Nocturnal, the Daedric prince of night and darkness, sometimes referred to as the Night Mistress or Lady Luck. Players going the stealthier route are likely to encounter this group of elite thieves, with their thick black armor as shown in ruba666’s drawing, making them both stand out and blend into the shadows.
These agents of the night don’t just inspire works of art. Fans have been known to don Nightingale armor for Halloween, which seems like the ideal costume for those who are into it heavily Skyrimbut also looking for an outfit that really suits the darker nights that accompany the end of October.
It really shows how popular Skyrim is, although it came out well over a decade ago. However, it’s fair to say that many fans would love to move on to the next installment. It is currently being worked on with Bethesda The Elder Scrolls 6, although it’s reportedly still in pre-production, the sequel to 2011’s epic RPG is raring to go. It’s just a shame that it will take a long time to get there.
The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
