Skyrim fans spot another Dragonborn in Sovngarde
While adventuring in the afterlife in the game Sovngarde, a Skyrim the player magically encounters another Dragonborn.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is, without a doubt, a great game. With a catalog of characters and hundreds of years of in-game history, there is no end to what players can discover even more than 10 years since the first release.
Even now, a player has discovered an interesting tidbit about Dragonborn lore – in addition to Dragon Priest MiraakYes other Dragonborn can interact in the game. Previously, only Miraak and the player character were existing Dragonborn characters, but this slot adds another hero to the roster.

The Dragonborn in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim are rare and powerful individuals, boasting the blood and soul of a dragon in their mortal bodies. Are they heroes, legends or liars, all of which have cemented their names in Skyrim history. In the game, it is assumed that there are only two Dragonborn – the player, and the dragon priest Miraak.
However, a Reddit user u / JimmyTheNephilim found another Dragonborn hero in the hall of Sovngarde. Sovngarde is FEARkyrimThe afterlife, home of heroes who have proven themselves in battle. When players arrive in this land, they can find a number of NPCs from different parts of Skyrim’s history. One such NPC is the Hero Sovngarde below:
When interacting with him, the NPC greets the player and happily shares his claim with the creator of the Dragonborn. Given that Dragonborns are rare, it’s likely that this Hero is extremely ancient. He’s only been vaguely named “Hero of Sovngarde”, so he doesn’t appear to be one of those named. Remarkable Dragonborn. This NPC looks like a Nord though, so it’s possible this is a reference to the ancient Nord Dragonborn Wulfharth.
It’s this extra little detail that really fills the game’s overworld, making it feel like a fully populated environment. Players see their legacy, can interact with it, making the Dragonborn’s long history more tangible. All in all, details like this really make Skyrim feels like such a full, alive world.
