Shaman King Season 2 Announced, No Release Date Yet

Following the conclusion of the television anime reboot of Hiroyuki Takei’s Shaman King manga, it was immediately revealed through an advertisement that Shaman King Part 2 has been given the green light. The second season will adapt a manga sequel called Shaman King: Flowers, focusing on Hana Asakura, the son of Yoh and Anna, as he is brought into the Asakura Family while his parents are away.

What is the Shaman King season 2 release date?

Unfortunately, the details of Shaman King Season 2 are pretty slim, and no additional information about the release date or format has been revealed, other than the teaser trailer (posted above). While an announcement about a Shaman King sequel was expected, it came as a surprise so quickly after the first season ended.

The Shaman King: Flowers spin-off manga series launched in 2012 in Jump X magazine and ended with the magazine’s final issue in 2014. The Shaman King series included additional content with Shaman King: The Super Star, was launched as a spin-off by Takei in 2017 that ran until September 2021, when the author decided to put the manga on hiatus. That said, it won’t be surprising given the success of Shaman King as Shaman King: The Super Star is likely to get an anime adaptation after Shaman King Season 2 ends.

Premiering in Japan in April 2021, the new Shaman King anime adaptation spans 52 episodes and is directed by Takeshi Furuta (aka Joji Furuta) at Studio Bridge. Netflix brought the anime worldwide starting August 9, 2021. Since the Shaman King anime has adapted all 35 episodes of the new complete version of the original manga, there’s a reason that Shaman King Season 2 is likely. will adapt the entire manga for Shaman King: Flowers .

In other game-related news, a new narrative-driven, action-adventure Star Wars game is in production at Amy Hennig’s Skydance New Media, and The House of the Dead: Remake is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC after (very briefly) a Nintendo Switch-exclusive timer.
