NEW YORK (WBTW) — Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer told CNBC his Union Sq. Hospitality Group eating places would require the COVID-19 vaccine for workers and prospects.

Starting Sept. 7, prospects and workers at any Union Sq. Hospitality Group restaurant should present proof of being absolutely vaccinated in opposition to COVID-19. Union Square Hospitality Group owns several restaurants in New York Metropolis and Washington, D.C. together with Gramercy Tavern, Manhatta, and Union Sq. Cafe.

He advised CNBC a majority of his employees are already vaccinated.

“That is essentially the most logical factor I’ve ever seen,” he advised CNBC. “I’m not a scientist, however I understand how to learn information and what I see is that it is a disaster of people that haven’t been vaccinated, and I really feel a robust accountability, on our half as enterprise leaders, to deal with our group and our visitors, and that’s what we’re doing.”

Meyer advised CNBC that Shake Shack will make its personal resolution about vaccines at a later time. | Shake Shack founder requiring COVID-19 vaccine
