Rogen said he had no idea he was going to be on a TV special. Since he thought he was going to a small, intimate concert, he and his wife Lauren Miller smoked “a ton of weed” before arriving at the event.

“We pulled up and saw the crane and the spinning crew – there were drones flying around,” he said. “There was a whole crew and I said, ‘Oh no, we’re filming a TV special.’ And I thought, “Maybe it’s not that big of a TV special,” and the first person I saw was Oprah Winfrey. “

“We can understand as you can understand. I sat down and there was literally a camera pointed at my face,” he added. When Fallon asked if he and Adele knew each other, Rogen replied, “No! I don’t know Adele! And if Adele you’re watching this, why are you doing it? ”

Filmed at Los Angeles’ iconic Griffith Observatory, Adele One Night Only Featured performances of both brand new songs and Adele hits, as well as an exclusive live interview with Winfrey.

“Everybody I know watches it,” Rogen said. “I think it’s the most common thing I’ve ever had in my entire life. Like, there are people I know who haven’t seen my last five movies that have texted me, like, ‘You were amazing at that Adele concert. It looks unbelievable! ‘”
