Seth Meyers Mocks Marjorie Taylor Greene’s COVID-19 Vaccine Excuse

Seth Meyers on Thursday night called Marjorie Taylor Green’s (R-GA) representative for a “false HIPAA signal” in order to avoid questions about whether she had been vaccinated for COVID-19, “because she continues to lie and spreading dangerous information on COVID vaccines ”.

“Your first question is a violation of my HIPAA rights,” Green said earlier this week. “You see, with HIPAA rights, we don’t have to disclose our medical records, and that includes our vaccine records.”

“It’s nothing,” Meyers replied. “A reporter who asks you if you have been vaccinated does not violate the HIPAA right, except that the neighbor requires a warrant to enter your home for the vaccine. HIPAA sets national standards for the protection of your medical records. That doesn’t stop journalists from asking. ”

“She probably also thinks that Miranda’s rights mean that after Steve joins Brooklyn, she no longer has to see her friends in Manhattan,” he joked. “I doubt he even knows what HIPAA is or what it means. She probably doesn’t even know it’s brief. ”

Meyers then imagined Green complaining: “Asking me if I have been vaccinated violates HIPAA rights. And asking me if I was at the zoo violates my hippie rights. And to ask me if any of my brothers are royalties violates Pippa’s rights. ”
