23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams continues her rehabilitation to prepare for the 2022 season after she injured her leg in her first match at Wimbledon 2021 and was unable to compete again for the season. With an unexpected time, the tennis star is trying out different businesses, hinting at her post-retirement plans.

Serena’s daughter Olympia is already a celebrity and quite popular. Olympia’s DollQai Qai‘also became famous after the doll, which, unlike traditional dolls, is not white but is colored instead, a perspective Serena had as if she had never had one. The black doll grew up but wanted her daughter to have one. The ideology was overrated and the Qai Qai doll also became a viral craze and quickly saw digital versions being created of her as well.

Seeing the reaction to the doll, Serena decided to publish a children’s book titled, ‘The Adventures of Qai Qai’ with an announcement made by her tennis star herself through via her Instagram handle, where she shared a reel that fans requested to be turned into reality by Williams.

“Since realizing Qai Qai’s ability to spread joy to our own family and millions of others around the world, we’ve wanted to tell her story in any way we can. We are very proud to announce Qai Qai’s first book, The Adventures of Qai Qai, a story about the power of friendship and imagination. Thank you for your continued support,” Serena wrote and also announced how one can obtain the book.

Since her leg injury, there has been much speculation about when she will return to the Tour. With many believing she could return to her home Slam competition, US Open 2021 in New York, Williams’ camp doesn’t assume the player is ready and keeping her age in mind, believing it was the right decision not to risk her back.

Entering the 2022 season, Serena is supposed to be out of action for 5 months but at the same time, she will also be fully rested. But the wait for official confirmation continues as she is yet to confirm her plans for the 2022 season and which tournaments she will play in preparation for 2022 Australian Open which she had previously expressed a desire to play.
