Seneca, IL flooding: River Road bridge collapses with truck on it in LaSalle County

SENECA, Unwell. (WLS) — Heavy rain in LaSalle County brought about a bridge collapse early Tuesday morning.

In Seneca, a bridge on River Street partially collapsed with a truck on it, police stated.

Some good Samaritans pulled the truck driver from the automotive to security, in accordance with Seneca police.

“Driver was very fortunate that his automobile did not go into the creek,” Seneca police Officer Kelsey Kowalski stated. “He was unhurt; he appeared high-quality, just a little shook up.”
