Fox News’ Sean Hannity told viewers on Monday night that they should take covid-19 seriously.
He questioned the university’s mandate to use vaccines “regardless of whether [students] have natural immunity” and present “rare circumstances… in which people with serious underlying health conditions may be aggravated by vaccines”.
Hannity spoke with a student who said she was diagnosed with Guillan-Barré Syndrome in 2019 and told the Fox host that she does not have a medical exemption for the covid-19 vaccine.
Before the interview, Hannity told viewers to “take it seriously.” He has done very similar comments in May, but these comments tonight received quite a bit of attention on Twitter:
I cannot say enough. Enough people have died. We don’t need to die anymore. Study like crazy. Talk to your doctor, your doctor, medical professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current health condition, and what you and your doctor recommend. very important decision for your own safety. Let’s do it seriously. You also have a right to medical confidentiality, which is also very important between doctor and patient. And it makes complete sense that more Americans are vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination.
