The best golfers in the world have traveled to England for the Open Championship, but that doesn’t mean the PGA Tour can’t conjure up a bit of drama of its own at home.

Ireland’s Seamus Power beat JT Poston on the sixth playoff hole to win the Barbasol Championship for the first PGA Tour title of his career.

Poston lost the lead at home at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky. His tee shot at number 15 was a few inches off the limit, resulting in a brace. Poston then hit a triple at par-3 16, sliding to 21 under.

Power, 34, birdie 18 to shoot 67 in the final round and force a playoff, and he won the birdie on the first playoff hole to ensure it continued through.

The two opponents played number 18 twice, then number 9 twice before returning to 18th. On the sixth playoff hole, Poston again hit an out-of-bounds steering, this time rolling into a water obstacle. Power-puted two for horizontal to defeat Poston’s bogey.

This is the third extended playoff the tour has seen in the past month alone. Harris English defeated Kramer Hickok at the Travelers Championship by eight playoff holes, marking the second-longest playoff in tournament history. A week later, Cam Davis won the Rocket Mortgage Classic on the fifth playoff hole against Troy Merritt and Joaquin Niemann of Chile.

Poston, a 36-hole and 54-hole lead, finished the final 70.

Barbasol serves as an alternative event for PGA Tour players who did not qualify for The Open Championship, the last major of the year.

India’s Anirban Lahiri and Sam Ryder both played Sunday 7 under 65 and tied for third with under 20. Six players finished fifth at 19: Patrick Rodgers (67), Henrik Norlander of Sweden (67), Ryan Armor (68), Mito Pereira of Chile (67), James Hahn (70) and Luke List (71). .
