Sea of Thieves Season 5 features many quality-of-life improvements, although one new feature may have received a major downgrade. The mouse will appear in the new update and will cause all sorts of mischief on the player’s ship. However, for those with schizophrenia, nothing gets better from an interesting supplement. Fortunately, Sea of Thieves players can disable the mouse via the in-game accessibility options on Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
Sea of Thieves: Can you disable the mouse in the SoT for Xbox and PC?
Yes, it is possible to disable the mouse in Sea of Thieves through the in-game settings. Xbox and PC users can turn off the rodent feature in the SoT if they don’t want to encounter members of the Rattus family on their ship.
Even for non-muskox species, disabling the rat makes life easier when sailing the Sea of Thieves. On the surface, rats can destroy supply crates and deprive pirates of necessities. Worse still, they can apparently chew on the hull and cause the ship to refuel. This could lead to a shipwreck, which would be a pretty embarrassing way to lose a stockpile of loot.

Responding to fan questions on Twitter, @SeaOfThieves confirmed that the game will have a toggle to remove the mouse. As a fellow title from Xbox Game Studios, Sea of Thieves’ so-called “Musical Scare Mode” stands alongside Arachnophobia mode found in Grounded by Obsidian Entertainment.
You should be able to turn them off, yes.

During last weekend’s Gold & Glory event, Sea of Thieves encountered a “Coralbeard” bug. It may flare up again when the fifth season premieres on December 2nd, so make sure mark solution.
