A big aggressive spider? A giant rock-formed god fighting the pagans? A Hyborian #MeToo campaign? No, Conan The Barbarian is not afraid of these things. He wanted to crush his enemies, see them being driven in front of him, and hear the lamentations of their women. But out of fear? Is Conan afraid of anything? It seems not. This week Savage Avengers #22 from Marvel Comics sees Conan travel through time living in today’s Marvel Universe and teaming up with more ruthless Marvel characters, from Wolverine to Venom to Elektra (but no longer the Punisher). And now with Ghost Rider, giving Conan a reason to reminisce about the Ghost Rider he knew in his day, who rode one of the giant spiders he wasn’t afraid of.
The pitch says that Conan and Ghost Rider are up against a longtime Marvel villain, Nightmare. Someone Ghost Rider’s stare probably wouldn’t affect anything. Doing so foolishly, Nightmare shows us Conan The Barbarian; Conan’s greatest fear,

The main series teased about Conan’s death, which was foretold to take place in the Blood Tower, and that it was a fate Conan didn’t want to face, but would be better for the man if it took place in that time. page, that alone, unincremented and unloved, only the enemies of Time can defeat him.
