Saskatchewan: Shooting suspect Myles Sanderson is arrested by Canadian police

Myles Sanderson, one of two people suspected of a stabbing rampage in a Canadian province that killed 10 people and wounded 18, was arrested Wednesday afternoon, according to the Saskatchewan RCMP.

Sanderson, 32, was taken into custody after a frantic four-day manhunt near Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canadian police said. The arrest comes hours after the RCMP issued an emergency alert regarding a dangerous person driving in a stolen vehicle through a town 27 miles west of Rosthern. According to police, the person was armed with a knife.

An unnamed official said The Washington Post that Sanderson had given himself up after police rammed his vehicle.

Sanderson’s brother, 30-year-old Damien Sanderson, was found dead Monday not far from the stabbings. How he died remained unclear on Wednesday evening.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
