Yesterday, with New York City’s Young People’s Chorus, Michelle Obama visited the aircraft carrier Saks Fifth Avenue to help unveil its (extremely bright) light show. The whole thing is more than ten stories high and has more than 700,000 LED lights. Tonight, at 7 p.m. ET, you can watch the full episode here.
You can also head to the front of Saks Fifth Avenue New York, where the lights are on and will be on display between now and the end of December.
And all for a good reason. Saks has given $1 million to the Girls Opportunity Coalition, an Obama Foundation program that seeks to empower adolescent girls around the world through education. And net proceeds from a curated collection that includes products by Phillip Lim, Fear of God and NEST New York will also be established.
Can’t make it? Here are some pictures from the event.
