Sakara . bride program review

I won’t deny it – the past few years have been difficult – physically and mentally. Like many people, the pandemic has brought with it a series of unhealthy lifestyle changes. Of course, not being out of the house leads to me not being physically active as often, which also affects my diet. Somehow, since I can’t get to the gym (or almost anywhere, for that matter), I justify ordering literally Comfort food from Postmates every day instead of cooking healthy meals at home. Bad habits are hard to break, and although strict restrictions on social distancing have mostly been lifted and gyms reopened, motivation for me to feel like myself was severely lacking.

However, when I realized a few months ago that my wedding was only two months away, I knew I wanted to change a few things in order to feel the best on my special day (full disclosure: Me too. frighten). Of course, I also wanted to make sure I fit the classic tight-fitting dress the last time I tried it on. After doing some research, I decided to try Sakara Life’s four-week Bridal Program to see if it could get me started again in, well, taking care of myself.

Sakara Life Bride Program

Sakara’s signature meal program brings fresh, organic and instant meals to your doorstep, taking the hassle out of healthy cooking altogether. Every meal is organic, plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO, and free of refined sugar. And guess? They are really, really good. I’m usually plant-based or gluten-free, and to be honest, I can’t think of a single meal in four weeks that I’m not really impressed with. I really don’t miss eating out or ordering greasy takeout throughout the month, which often happens when I’m following a healthy eating plan or avoiding a certain food.

My favorite meal:

  • Caesar Salad Unsorted
  • Soothe Shakshuka With Pumpkin “Eggs”
  • Beachside Burrito Bowl With Hibiscus
  • Sakara Style Pasta Bolognese
  • Rustic Tomato Soup with Grilled “Cheez”

Within just a week or so on the program, I started noticing visible changes in my skin (it looked more radiant and my texture improved) and my digestive issues disappeared. miraculously lost. I had more energy throughout the day, and this mood boost pushed me to be more consistent with my movement. In the past, when I went “on a diet,” I tended to adopt a self-destructive, black or white, all-or-nothing approach; In this program, my approach to eating right and exercising has paid off 180. Twenty minutes of light exercise is better than nothing, and just because I ate some chocolate or walked. eating with my fiancé instead of my Sakara lunch (admittedly this happened twice!), that doesn’t mean my whole day is damned to skip moving and eat greens.

I won’t lie and say I’m not happy about loser seven pounds in the four-week bridal program, but I really felt that the change in attitude and mindset that I achieve by experiencing the mood-lifting effects of truly life-changing nutritious foods. The change in attitude and perception about the link between my mental health and food intake was one of the biggest and most beneficial transformations I have ever experienced. Clearly, Sakara’s ‘food is medicine’ philosophy has held me back as I commit to continuing to incorporate this dietary change in my lifestyle for the foreseeable future — not just until my wedding day. me or the next special event. At $1,680, Sakara Life’s Bridal Program is on the pricier end but for me it was the butt push I needed to finally feel like myself again after years of body-watching. like a trash can — what I consider priceless transformation.
