Saab wins $536 million order for German navy

Swedish defence firm Saab has gained an order value round 4.6 billion crowns ($536.4 million) to modernise the German navy’s F123 frigates, it mentioned on Friday.

Saab mentioned the contract included a brand new fight administration system, whereas deliveries and different providers can be carried out between 2021 and 2030.

It added that it will be the prime contractor and would interact German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen for the shipbuilding.

“This contract will additional strengthen our relationship with Germany for a few years to come back,” Saab Chief Govt Micael Johansson mentioned in a press release.
